Urban Decay Electric Palette Tutorial!

Hello blog world! Nice to see you again. I'm back in action today whipping out my first tutorial in more than a month! I've been very busy this past little while. I took a whole 2 weeks off makeup while growing my brows back out as well as went camping for a whole week.

I got the Urban Decay Electric palette finally! It was a present from my Aunt in California and it came the day before my Birthday.. and that wasn't even planned! So of course I had to do a look with it. I did this look and did not make a tutorial as I did it. But I loved it so much I decided to try to recreate it. This tutorial just focuses on the eye makeup. Do what you will with your face or be like me and do nothing with it.

Here is the original look, and the look you're trying to create:

1. Start with your clean, no makeup eye.

2. Prime your eye for the look using MAC Painterly Paint Pot all over your lid from lashline to brow bone then blend a neutral colour such as Lorac Pro Palette's Taupe into and above your crease. Also, fill in those brows baby! I used a blend of Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz and Dipbrow Pomade both in Auburn.

3. Take a little bit of the colour Jilted from your Urban Decay Electric Palette and pat it onto the inner 1/3 of your eyelid.

4. Pat Urban onto the middle 1/3 of your eyes. Don't worry about blending or making this look pretty. We aren't at that stage yet. Just get that sh*t on there.

5. And on the outer 1/3 pack on some Chaos.

6. Blend time! Using a little smdge brush gently pull all 3 colours together. I lost a little bit of opacity with the Chaos here but that's ok.. I just added a bit more!

7. Now blend some Chaos into the crease and your transition colour. You will look stupid at this point. Or at least I looked stupid at this point. Please look stupid with me. The blue is just a bit much on it's own.

8. So to tone it down and give it some depth, blend some of the Ubran into the crease as well. Much better.

9. Clean up any fall out and conceal under your eye area. Now it's starting to come together!

10. Following the same pattern as the upper lid, blend Jilted into the inner 1/3 of your lash line.

11. Then Urban on the middle 1/3.

12. You probably guessed this part but now blend Chaos into the outer 1/3!!

13. Time for liner. Start by lining your upper and lower waterlines with a deep black pencil. I went for Kat Von D Waterproof Autograph Pencil in Puro Amor. Make sure you tight line as well! I definitely missed my lashes there. Be better than me. Or don't. It doesn't matter.

14. That's ok because now you cover any imperfections with your awesome wing! Connecting the wing with the bottom liner really ties this look together. I've got MAC Chromaline in Black Black right now so that's what I used.

15. We're almost done! Curl your lashes and throw on some mascara. I used Dior Show Blackout mascara.

16. Just another angle to show you what's up.

19. And for continuity to the original look, throw on some lashes! I used House of Lashes Au Naturale lashes and their glue.

20. Voila! We are all finished. I now see the tiny bit of mascara smudge. Alas, these things happen some times! Let me know what you thought. :)
