Spring-y Smokey V Tutorial!

Hey there! Here is a tutorial for a look I did a couple weeks ago. I've had the pictures ready to go for awhile now but have been way too busy with work to post. I got a lot of compliments on look so hopefully you all like it too. I used my Lorac Pro for this look so all the colours in this tutorial are from that palette. You can use whatever colours float your boat though.

Here is the look we are going to be creating.. let's get started!

 1. Start with a clean, well freaking moisturised face. This is important! Hydrated skin is pretty skin.

2. Buff foundation into your skin! I used L'Oreal True Match Foundation in N1 and a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

 3. Attempt to conceal the beasts under your eyes or any blemishes. I also did some subtle highlighting and contouring here. I used a Ben Nye Highlight Wheel, Benefit High Beam, and a Clinique Kohl Shaper in Black Coffee. Weird, I know. Also! Prime your lids! I primed using concealer because I'm not prone to creasing but have really discoloured eyelids. Also. I'm out of primer. Sooo... yeah.

 4. Pat Nude all over your lid up to the crease, focusing on the inner 1/3.

 5. Take a bit of Pewter and pack a good amount onto the middle 1/3 of your eye. For packing on shadow like this, I prefer to use my MAC 239 brush.

6.Blend that sh*t out! No harsh lines. I was blending with my Sigma E40 brush.

 7.  On the outer 1/3 of your eye, apply some Deep Purple. You can be light handed here. It's always easier to add more than to remove if you use too much.

 8. It's blending time again! I blended more after this picture when I realized it needed it. One of the best things about taking pics of your makeup is you see the mistakes!

 9. Yes, this is much better. I take my makeup way above my crease, as most of you know, because my hooded eyes eat the shadow! It's still not clean though...

 10. So clean up your lines and any fall out with concealer. Also, highlight your brow bone and inner corner using White.

 11. Take a little of the Pewter shadow on a pencil brush (mine is Sigma) and blend it into your bottom lash line.

 12. Tight line your upper lashes and blend some Deep Purple into your lower lashes.

 13. Fully line your upper lash line with black gel liner, I like the Maybelline one and it's fairly inexpensive! Make sure you get right down into that inner corner.

 14. Brows and lashes! Fill in your brows and apply mascara. I used NYX Brow Powder in Brunette and Maybelline the Falsies Mascara in Blackest Black. Seriously. These two things can make or break a look.

 15. Finishing touches! I used the Balm Staniac in Beauty Queen on the apples of my cheeks for a naturally flushed look. My lips are OCC Lip Tar in Strumpet! I also brightened up my eyes by using a nude concealer pencil in my lower water line.

And here is the final look! I felt so pretty!

Bonus Picture: I always talk about my hooded eyes hiding my makeup. Here is an example of that. Also, my real smile for y'all!

Bright Spring Tutorial ft Sleek Ultra Matte V1 Palette

Hello  lovelies! Yesterday I was feeling very spring-y and decided to do some fun makeup in the morning before getting ready for the day. Here is a quick, not super in depth tutorial of how this look came to be. The reason I didn't take as many pictures as usual is I'm having a lot of skin trouble right now and it's making makeup quite the challenge.

Naked face. Except some concealer on my eyelids.

Crazy white cream base all over your eye. Don't need to be pretty.

Teal on one eye. Make it sloppy. Pack it on. Uhm yes, I guess I didn't remove my brows properly the night before. I tend to leave a bit of powder in there sometimes.

Bright purple on the other eye.

Add some foundation to your face! Do I look weird yet? Yes. Yes I do. Also. Highlight your brow bone.

Paint purple "lashes" with a water based product like Mehron Paradise Palette colours. Look at how nasty my skin was looking, I think it's the weird flash in this picture,

Also do some funky liner with a teal paint on your purple lid. Note that my skin (while still rough) has gone back to being human colour.

Give yourself some brows. Decide you want white lashes. Do that.

Add some funky black liner to the top of the teal liner.

 Voila. Super bad ass.

 Coontour! Highlight! Blush! Pink lipstick!

 My finished look..except...
I want some lashes. Oh crap. And to blend my blush better. Which would be easier if my skin wasn't in revolt.
Give up on white lashes. Put falsies on the teal side too.

 NOW YOU LOOK GOOD.
